Layne Simmons
Partner
Layne Simmons is a CPA with over 35 years of experience. Layne started his career with Deloitte before working for Viad Corp where he was the executive Director of Tax. Layne then worked for Waste Service Inc. as the VP of the tax department. After leaving Waste Services Inc., Layne became a partner of Jaffa Simmons, PLLC. Layne received a Masters degree in Accounting (specializing in Taxation) from the University of Utah. Layne is a former Council member of the American Institute of CPAs, a former President of the Arizona State Board of Accountancy and a former Chairman of the Board of the Arizona Society of CPAs. Layne received a “Life Member” award from the Arizona Society of CPAs in 2018, in recognition of his numerous contributions to the CPA profession.
